We are very proud to be loosely affiliated with another Nobel Laureate in Boulder, Colorado. David Wineland is the group leader for the Time and Frequency Division of NIST in Boulder. We have sold and continue to sell many high finesse ULE cavities to David’s group who are world leaders in frequency stabilization and time and frequency standards. Wineland was cited by the Nobel committee "for ground-breaking experimental methods that enable measuring and manipulation of individual quantum systems."
This is the third Nobel Prize in Physics won by scientists in Boulder CO in the past 11 years.
The 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics for spectroscopy and applications of frequency stabilized lasers was won by John Hall also from Boulder (CU and NIST) a few years ago. John (Jan) Hall is a dear friend and long time customer of ATFilms and cofounder of Stable Laser Systems.
